To allow more of our Guests a fair, positive shopping experience, we may use our Virtual Disney Store Waiting Room on our more popular, limited, and collectible items.
How does the Disney Store Virtual Waiting Room work?
To help provide a smooth shopping experience during high-demand events, we may use one of two types of waiting rooms:
Site-wide:
A site-wide holding room will open approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled release time.
At this time all Guests, including those not purchasing event items, will be required to enter through the waiting room before accessing the site.
When the event starts, you will be randomly assigned a place in our Waiting Room.
When it’s your turn, the page will automatically refresh and take you to the site.
Once the event has ended, the waiting room will be removed, and you’ll be able to continue shopping on the site as normal.
Please note: Due to high demand, product availability is limited and entry to the website does not guarantee that event items will remain in stock or be available for purchase.
Product level:
Products will first appear as "Coming Soon" on our New page.
Around 30 minutes before the release time, you'll be able to click on the product to enter the holding room.
For example, if a product launches at 8:00 am, you can enter the holding room from 7:30 am.
When the event starts, you will be randomly assigned a place in our Waiting Room.
When it’s your turn, the page will automatically refresh and take you straight to the product page.
